If you haven’t heard yet, we now have produce at our Mini Market, thanks to Dan Roelofs of Arden Farm and Alice Lyons, whose organically raised blueberries have graced our space the past two Saturdays. Now, we’re pleased to let you know that they will be bringing a selection of produce on Thursdays and Saturdays to come!
As a little testimonial, the author of this blog post has been thrilled for the past two Saturdays to be able to get eggs, basil, garlic, tomatoes, scallions, lettuce, blueberries and blackberries, a pork roast, coffee, muesli and gluten-free nutrition bars at the Mini Market! There was great satisfaction in supporting the farmers and producers who in turn support our efforts in getting the East Aurora Cooperative Market open.
The purchases resulted in roast pork, pesto, blueberry huckle buckle (although most of the berries have been eaten out of hand, they’re like candy!) and tomato salad. The produce from Arden Farm, as we’ve mentioned, is grown without toxic chemicals in accordance with the National Organic Growing Guide. Arden Farm’s pork is organically raised but conventionally processed.
We invite you to stop in on Thursdays from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
