Personal Statement:
I have been a resident of East Aurora for the past seven years and love our special, welcoming community! The variety our village offers in the way of restaurants, shopping, recreation, and children-friendly venues and activities makes it a unique place to live and raise a family. The EACM is a significant part of the village fabric and I love the convenience and quality it provides, along with the support it gives to other local small businesses and farms. I believe wholeheartedly in the small business model driving our national economy and as such want to support this in any way possible, with this board opportunity providing a great mechanism to do so. I enjoy the challenges and rewards of serving on community boards and believe my background can provide value to our local cooperative market.

Questions and Answers:
- What role do you think the EACM will play in East Aurora’s future?
EACM will continue to be a mainstay in the village, with a nice selection of fresh foods, homemade options, and many organic selections. It is and needs to continue to be part of the fabric of our small and inviting town. - In what ways are you working to contribute to and improve the East Aurora community?
In part, by staying on this Board! Also, via my children and the sports they participate in, shopping locally, and finding opportunities to give back. - If you can find healthy, organic food at another grocery store, why choose the East Aurora Co-op Market?
I believe in supporting and sustaining one another at a local level wherever possible. Also, the selections and freshness of food at our Co-op are excellent. - Which of the 10 cooperative values resonates with you most and why?
Self-responsibility resonates most for me; I have always believed in people taking control of their own personal situations and working to achieve any changes desired. Outside help is often deserved and warranted, but the results from this will always be limited compared to what can be achieved by personal motivation and dedication.
