The East Aurora Co-op held their first annual meeting last night in the cafeteria of the East Aurora Middle School. The annual report was passed out at the meeting.
Membership has reached 647, and the room was full of member-owners (and soon-to-be member-owners) who came out to last night to hear about the co-op’s progress, meet other member-owners and just mingle.
The meeting was more than an opportunity to present information to member-owners; it was also a chance for those curious about the co-op to find out more. In fact, 3 attendees joined last night as a result of the meeting.
Member-owners were asked to bring a finger-food to share; offerings ranged from seasoned popcorn to chocolate-chip cookie bars, to cupcakes and shortbread. Some MO’s even included copies of their recipe to share.
Board President Mary Aiken, Project Manager Sheila Conboy and Treasurer Mike Benzin all addressed the crowd to give updates on the status of the co-op’s progress.
Those MO’s who could not attend last night’s meeting are encouraged to visit the Mini-Market during business hours to pick up a copy of the annual report.
