The CSA to which my husband and I belong, Harvest Patch (located in Strykersville) is overflowing with bush beans! We’ve gotten them in our weekly bags a few times, and I recently took advantage of their ‘pick your own’ option, in which I was able to go and pick to my little hearts’ content. Well, in this summer heat and having to bend down in the rows, this girl lasted about 40 minutes. I got a reusable grocery bag-full and figured it wouldn’t be that much…until I got home with them all. Seven blanched/shocked/frozen pounds later, I still have A LOT of beans on my hands! I have both green and white/yellow wax beans, so I’ve amassed a slew of recipes in which to use them!
