General Manager Terry Wittenrich and Project Manager Sheila Conboy choosing paint and flooring finishes.

With truss repairs and roof work in the rear-view mirror and work almost complete on the receiving area, we’re moving forward on several other fronts to get the Co-op ready for opening. And some of those fronts are really fun and exciting – like making final interior color choices for flooring, laminates, and paint! That’s happening today!

As the space becomes more of a true reflection of the Co-op community, we are reminded of the huge commitment that you, our member-owners, have made to bring the project to this point. In this season of thanks, those of us closest to the project are filled with gratitude for the continued support of the amazing East Aurora Co-op Market community. And also in this season of thanks, we are reminded that often the best way to express gratitude is through delicious food!

Our friends at National Co+op Grocers have assembled a wonderful resource for Thanksgiving planning with beautiful recipes we wanted to share with you. Click HERE  to explore the great collection. Acorn Squash Stuffed with Chard and White Beans, Pomegranate-Glazed Turkey with Roasted Fennel, Baked Apples with Ginger-Hazelnut-Cranberry Butter…wow. And how exciting is it that we’ll be able to get all the fresh ingredients at our Co-op in just a few short months? We hope you will try some of the recipes you find. If you do, please take a photo and share it on the Co-op’s Facebook page. THANK YOU!
