At the Annual Member-owner Meeting held Thursday evening, candidates Michael Benzin, Andrew Layer, and Kara Spencer-Ching were elected to three-year terms on the Board. Candidate Kathy Pomerhn was elected to a two-year term on the Board to fulfill the remaining term of departing director Jane Brewer. Also at the meeting, proposed bylaw changes were unanimously approved by member-owners present. Thank you member-owners for voting and being part of the cooperative process, and congratulations to our new Board Directors!
Outgoing Board Directors Jane Brewer and Kathy Castle, and former Board President Mary Aiken were recognized for their years of service on the Board and their deep commitment to bringing the East Aurora Co-op to fruition. The Co-op would not be where it is today without their valuable contributions. Thank you!
We have a Co-op General Manager!
Leading us forward to opening day and beyond will be our newly-hired General Manager Terry Wittenrich. A Town of Aurora native with extensive grocery management experience, Terry is a great fit for the Co-op and we couldn’t be more excited to have him on board. Stay tuned for a more in-depth introduction to Terry in the coming weeks.
Read all about it in the Annual Report!
It’s been a pivotal year for the Co-op and we’re moving full steam ahead, with an estimated opening date of October 6th! Read all about where we’ve been and where we’re going in the Annual Report. It’s a great six-page summary filled with information about the status of the project, our financial picture, and what’s ahead – including site plan elevations and a store floor plan.
