Member-owners, mark your calendars: the East Aurora Co-op Market Annual Member-Owner meeting will be held on Thursday, May 26 in the East Aurora Middle School cafeteria. Every year the annual meeting is an opportunity to come together and strengthen our Co-op community and a chance to cast ballots for candidates for the Co-op Board.
The annual meeting is also an opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been and share our common vision for the East Aurora Co-op Market. Over the course of the last year that common vision has come into very clear focus.
Last year we learned that the Co-op was undertaking preliminary demolition at the site. Today, demolition is behind us, construction and interior renovations are well underway, and we are focused on the details that will make the store uniquely our own.
Last year we were introduced to our new General Manager Terry Wittenrich. Today, Terry is working every day to open our doors, making operational decisions that will make the store successful, and planning to hire the people who will truly bring the Co-op experience to life.
Together we’ve made tremendous progress. We hope all of our fellow member-owners will plan on coming to the annual meeting in May and learning more. As progress continues, there is no better time to get friends and neighbors who have been watching from the sidelines on board as member-owners. They can find information on becoming a member-owner here. Please consider reaching out and growing our Co-op community. We truly are stronger together. Thank you!
